The Staccato portfolio of Ripcord products are built on industry standard technologies to ensure broad interoperability and worldwide deployment. Staccato team members have worked diligently to dive global industry requirements, standards and regulatory approval over the last decade for Ultra Wideband communications. All out UWB products are based on the industry standard WiMedia MAC/PHY.

Highly Integrated
Staccato provides the leading ultra wideband wireless solution for personal computing, Mobile Phones and consumer electronics. Staccato's Ripcord product family offers the highest level of integration, smallest form-factor and lowest power consumption solutions. It has been designed from the ground up in a single-chip IC for mass production and global deployment. The overall system cost is minimized as critical components such as I/O, memory, processor, and encryption engine are designed into the chip.
Multiple Simultaneous Protocols
Ripcord Solutions integrate the WiMedia UWB Physical Layer (PHY) and Medium Access Controller (MAC) to offer a fully functioning WiMedia Common Radio Platform (CRP) capable of supporting multiple simultaneous protocols. Staccato's innovative Protocol Independent Kernel MAC implementation of the CRP supports Certified Wireless USB by the USB-IF and is extensible to support Bluetooth 3.0, WiMedia WLP and other protocols.
