SC3232R - Ripcord Device Module
Internal Wireless USB Device Reference Solution
Staccato's Ripcord Device Module (RDM) allows easy internal addition of Certified Wireless USB to existing USB devices with no firmware changes. The RDM is a complete Device Wire Adapter (DWA) solution ready for integration into an existing device for high volume production. The module includes a 2 port hub to allow using an existing USB Type B port to add wireless USB and still enable the legacy wired USB connection with the same port. Some example Wireless USB devices enabled with the RDM include printers, digital picture frames, PMP cradles, digital still cameras and digital video recorders. It is based on Staccato's Ripcord1 SC3502C single-chip CMOS IC.
Software Supported
The Ripcord Device Adapter is based on Staccato's Certified Wireless USB Device Wire Adapter (DWA) software stack.
